How is this possible? - Cheating @foursquare (REDACTED)

If you look at the following picture of a user from Denver, Co - what stands out is the days out vs. check in disparity.  As a super user that started at SXSW 09, I don't even have over 600 check ins.  This person is marked as suspicious and the Denver Metro Area Foursquare people have told stories of falsified check ins, stealing mayorships through cheating, and various other behaviors.  We'll want more proof here on Foursquare Cheaters - but evidence is pointing to something suspicious.

Redacted:  We have received word from the aforementioned person and appreciate him coming to this blog.  All we ask for is explanations.  Go Foursquare!

Do you have a Foursquare Cheater in your city?  Do you want to call them out?  Send evidence to post@foursquarecheaters.posterous.com and we will take a look at it and post it.  Screen shots, pictures of empty bars with check ins, and any other proof is greatly encouraged.

Welcome to Foursquare Cheaters

Foursquare Cheaters is a site dedicated to outing the people that cheat among us on our favorite mobile game: Foursquare.

While Foursquare works out a way to control cheating, we figure public shaming might be the best way to go about it.

Here's how we define cheating:

Checking into a place that you are not at and/or don't plan on going to/didn't go to during that night out.  Exceptions: Some people like to check in early to announce their impending arrival.  Some people go back and check in at the places they went to from home (which I personally frown upon - but whatever).  Not even being physically there and checking in to protect a mayorship or just be a douche - well that sucks.

Are there other forms of cheating - email us or comment and, if we are so inclined, we'll add them to this list.

This site is not affiliated with Foursquare except that it will be made by members of the Foursquare community.  The Foursquare Community are the users who truly love the app and want to maintain the purity of the game.  As Foursquare evolves, so will these rules - because the community will evolve with it.  Thanks to the guys at Foursquare for providing us with such a great game!

To post a post here email: post@foursquarecheaters.posterous.com.  All posts will be moderated to remove too much personal information (User names will be given but phone numbers/emails/etc will be removed)  If you've been called out as a cheater and want to defend yourself/remove a post/etc - we are open to hearing from you as well.  You can email Foursquarecheater@gmail.com
